Comfy Confections is aFloridian cottage law business owned and operated by a foodie and recent graduate of Le Cordon Bleu and a disabled vet from the UK. It is the beginning of our journey to open a gastropub in the Tampa Bay area that focuses on comfort food from around the world.

After retiring from the US Coast Guard, Paul is actively involved with the Wounded Warrior Project and is training with the US Association of Blind Athletes and Navy Wounded Warrior as a rowing and cycling hopeful for the US Paralympic team.

When Miranda isn’t cooking, baking and experimenting with new flavor combinations like a mad scientist, she also writes romance and fantasy romance novels under the nom de plume, Noemi Betancourt.

As a Cottage Law business in the state of Florida, Comfy Confections is not subject to government food safety inspection. However, we are bound by certain regulations and limited to creating certain types of food. We are unable to sell any food online or ship out of state. Items we cannot make and sell are: cheesecakes, fried pastries, ice cream cakes, meringue pies, pudding pies, cream pies, custard pies, or focaccia style breads. We also cannot garnish with fresh fruit or use cream cheese icing.

At Comfy Confections, we strive to use as many local and natural ingredients as possible, make everything from scratch and involve as few preservatives as possible.
